Underneath the Surface: Introduction to Underwater Portraiture #2


This 2-day intensive workshop in a small and controlled setting offers a hands-on learning experience into the world of underwater portraiture. This workshop will teach you the skills you will need to begin in your underwater portrait journey and create amazing portraits to set your business apart from the rest. We will begin by understanding breathing techniques, lighting, posing and wardrobe. Understanding and creating your own editing workflow and will then go into getting your business off the ground with your marketing.


DATE: July 1st and 2nd  (Thursday and Friday)


Location: TBD (Atlanta GA based)


Time: 1st Day 9:30 A.M. – 2:30 P.M. 2nd Day 9:30- 1:30 P.M. Lunch both days is from 11:30-12:30.


Tuition/Deposit: $1,200

Deposit: 40% is required to enroll, the balance is paid 4 weeks before the workshop. The final payment will be invoiced.



  • Underwater Housing units
  • Cameras to go in the housing units

What to Bring:

  • Bathing suit
  • Towel
  • Oil free sunscreen (oils will fog the water so this is very important)
  • Goggles
  • Memory cards
  • Notepad and pen
  • Laptop


Image Usage

Any images taken can be used in your own portfolio (website and online.) Images must not be submitted to magazines, exhibitions or competitions without permission. Images must not be used to advertise photoshoots, workshops or products.



If you need to cancel after any payment is made, you will need to sell your seat in order to receive a refund.

Travel and Lodging

Attendees are responsible for their own lodging and travel to and from the workshop. After registering, we will provide recommended accommodations and travel information.
