I hope you all have braced yourself for the sneak peek images you will soon be seeing!
Before we get to the images though I want to take a brief moment to talk about how fortunate I am. I have been so fortunate to photograph such a WIDE VARIETY of clients. I have had teachers, models, managers, technicians… SO MANY different type of clients. BUT this was my very first maternity session with a dancer! AND OH MY GOODNESS! I stand true to my statement…. dancers look like paintings all on their own.
This beautiful mommy to be was an absolutely stunning 38 weeks!!! Yes that’s right 38 weeks. I know some of you who follow my blogs are like… “wait a minute she says to book between 32-36 weeks, what is she doing with a 38 week soon to be mommy?!” Well as soon as you see these images you will realize that…
A: This mommy to be may have the smallest baby bump that I have ever photographed. (No there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! We all carry differently!) and…
B : Sometimes time gets away from us…. AND
C: If we had shot ANY sooner than now, she would have looked even smaller! Every client of mine is different with how they show and when they start to show. So I still stand by my 32-36 week shooting goal BUT every now and again that rule has to be bent 🙂
This amazingly talented mommy to be…. continued to surprise me throughout our session! Not only was she perfectly balanced, but she was more than willing to do and or try anything! (When I was 38 weeks pregnant… the thought of moving made me physically ill HAHA!) She was graceful and overall just stunning. Add to the fact that she is just as beautiful on the inside as out… and well you can imagine we made some pretty stunning art work together!
THEN CAME THE UNDERWATER……. SWOONNNNNNNN……. This is an appropriate time to mention again that underwater is NOT easy! Especially for expecting mommies. It’s harder for them to sink. But here we are maybe 15-20minutes just practicing underwater and Tiana (mommy to be) is not only picking up this whole underwater thing, but she is thriving and posing BEAUTIFULLY! I was amazed! It takes me that long just to get used to the pool water regardless of temperature! This mommy to be was also my FIRST maternity session to go ALL THE WAY UNDER…. (Insert squeals of excitement!)
Tiana you were an absolute pleasure to photograph for! I am so excited for your baby girl to make her arrival! I wish you a very smooth and safe delivery and cannot wait to meet her!
