GRAY FAMILY!
You all have seen this family, a NUMBER of times! And I love that all of you are getting to know them almost as well as I know them.
The Gray family is beautiful beyond measure. AND every time I find myself writing another blog, I feel a little sadness because another session has come to a close. Which means these beautiful babies I have been photographing for so long are going to grow like crazy between here and when I see them again. But with that sadness comes the most amazing happiness. These kiddos will grow up knowing me, these beautiful bunch of people are my family. I LOVE THAT. I will forever treasure each and every session I am allowed to have with these amazing people. Each family member I am able to meet, I love them just like the rest.
The other absolutely glorious thing about this family is their trust in me! Not just with the images and art I will create but with the location, the wardrobe suggestions. EVERYTHING! When I explain to them where I want to shoot, there are never any weird looks, never and whispers. They say “let’s do it.” That kind of energy just makes me THRIVE! I know I am allowed to really push the boundaries EACH AND EVERYTIME I photograph for them. And truly I am SO THANK FUL!
This session was FUN! Tiring for all, (if you haven’t tried to photograph an active toddler recently…. try it and you will know what I mean) but so rewarding. The genuine smiles I get from mom and dad when their kids do or say the sweetest thing. THOSE MOMENTS are the ones I want to capture for families to remember. Those images are the ones that when you look back on them you will say… “do you remember how busy they were then…. BUT oh, their sweet little voice.” Or “I remember that day so well because that was the first time she said such in such.” Those memories otherwise may be forgotten had a picture not been snapped at that very second.
THIS. IS. FAMILY.
The raw happiness that is seen, the tiredness that you know is there but is not visible, the effort that everyone has put in to make sure the moment is documented. Every single thing about this family is the epitome of what family is all about. EVERY. SINGLE. PART. This Is Family.
And I love this family!
To the Grays : You all mean so much to me. Regardless of how many times I say it… it rings truer today than yesterday. Your love is contagious and I admire you all.
