Krystin is a SENIOR!
So some pretty amazing things happened yesterday!
Sometimes it can be so difficult to decide exactly how to start and explain a particular session, in just a few short paragraphs in a blog. To start… I received a call from Krystin’s grandmother, (Debbie) NANA, wanting to schedule a senior session for her. After speaking to her for just a few moments I could tell how important this session was going to be for Krystin. Debbie wanted to make SURE that everything was perfect for her. And perfect it was!
We started our day off pretty early, bright eyed and bushy tailed! Krystin had an amazing wardrobe selection, hung up and ready to go! We spent a good bit of time shooting at her high school…. Which I was NOT complaining. Her high school is uncommonly beautiful! I could have stayed there all day! Speaking of beauty… Krystin was absolutely FLAWLESS! But what made her even more beautiful is her personality. She is funny and kind, and has a genuine-ness that you just don’t see much anymore. She is the best of both worlds…. She has a beautiful style, but loves sports and the outdoors. Of course we had fun mixing the two genres. She is on her high school softball team AND a competition team. They won their first championship…. The school’s first championship in YEARS!!! How awesome is that! She definitely is one of the VERY few that can make a softball uniform look so fashionable!
As we moved from location to location we just had the best time! We kept laughing and chatting about EVERYTHING! Especially on our hike UP to Margarette falls HAHA! Even though the hike was a bit strenuous and had us sweating like we were in the Olympics… The location was SO SO SO WORTH IT! Words simply cannot express how beautiful this area is. We had a bit of an audience once we reached the falls, likely so! A little girl that had hiked up with her family asked if Krystin was a princess. She really did look just like a princess in a fairy tale!
Each location brought a different mood and side to Krystin. She nailed EVERY SINGLE SPOT we photographed at! However with that being said, I think the underwater part of her session was one of my favorites. I WAS FLOORED with how awesome she did underwater! Guys seriously… Underwater is hard! But every time we went under I got shots that are absolutely AMAZING! Every time I saw them I couldn’t help but gasp and say “KRYSTIN! OH MY GOODNESS!” In between her wardrobe changes Debbie said “this is her element.” I could not have agreed more! I even think she may have posed better underwater than on land… and she was posing on land like a pro! I could not have asked for a more amazing underwater session!
Krystin’s session was amazing. EVERY part. But what topped it all is the relationship Krystin has with her Nana. Debbie even said “Krystin isn’t just my granddaughter, she is my best friend.” Where are my crying emoji’s!!!! My heart was so emotional HAHA! I LOVED just watching them. They really did talk to each other with such honesty, and love. You could EASILY see how they were not just relatives, but true friends. It may have been one of the most amazing relationships I have seen as of yet.
As I wrap this blog up, I want to make sure to tell Krystin….. GIRL you are awesome! You have such an amazing personality! DON’T EVER LET ANYTHING CHANGE THAT ABOUT YOU! You enjoy your last year of high school! This is your time! You deserve the very best! I had the best time with you yesterday! You are stunning from the tippy of your toes to the crown of your head! The world is your playground! You will do amazing things, I JUST KNOW IT! Most important though… THANK YOU for picking me to be on this journey with you! AND… COMGRATULATIONS!!!! YOU DID IT!
And to Debbie! Enjoy the last few months of Krystin’s high school career with her J ( Even if that means shedding a few tears every now and again) You guys have such a beautiful and special relationship, and I know that that is only going to get stronger and more beautiful as time goes on. Yesterday was beyond amazing! YOU DID IT! You made Krystins day so special! I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of it!
