What exactly is a CLIENT FOR LIFE?
CLIENT FOR LIFE… Many of you have heard me mention this sentence before. This blog is going to explain just what it is, how to become a CLIENT FOR LIFE, and show an actual CLIENT FOR LIFE.
A CLIENT FOR LIFE is a client that has booked EVERY session available from Maternity… ALLLLL the way through ONE year. ( This includes Birthing, and milestone sessions) That seems simple enough right? Well the truth is becoming a CLIENT FOR LIFE is SO SO SO much more.
CLIENTS FOR LIFE are extremely special clients of Significant Moments Photography, and truth be told they become more like family. The relationships developed after so many special sessions together is something that cannot be written. BUT it can be captured! For me being the photographer, there is a level of appreciation for these clients who have chosen me… Not just chosen me, BUT SOLEY use me as their ONE and only photographer. THAT…. that right there is enough to bring a few tears to my eyes. I simply cannot express enough how attached I get to the clients and their new babies. Especially as I am able to watch them grow. And though it must be said… EVERY single client of mine is valued and I have a special relationship with each one. BUT my feelings for my CLIENTS FOR LIFE is something so unique. I legitimately capture each moment in their life that is significant… I LOVE THEM! I could ramble on forever and get more emotional as type, but I think it may be best to let you know what it means on the other end.
This blog is an example of one of my clients for life… This is a direct quote.
“I love being a client for life because you have become a part of our family. You aren’t just our photographer. You have been there for every single milestone in Carter’s life. (Literally, for some of them. He rolled over for the first time on camera during his three month milestone session.) He looks forward to his pictures, he gets excited for them. He gets excited to see you! You are not a stranger squeaking a toy at him on a backdrop trying to force him to smile! You capture my son being himself… you get real smiles! And because he is not just some new client, you can always pick locations and styles that you know work for him. It shows how perfectly you really know him! As I have filled up my wall with images and take a step back just to take it all in…. I burst into tears. My child’s whole life is on my wall. Every memory, and feeling come rushing back. The way I felt, the smells, the exact day…. all of it. EVERY DETAIL. I am overcome with the sadness that my baby is not a baby anymore, and that the past five years since this adventure started has just FLOWN by, and you can never go back….. And then being so beyond happy to realize… that isn’t true…. because you have them all captured in an image that lets you relive those moments every day. Thank you so much for giving me the ability to go right back to those moments!”
SNIFF SNIFF! This is really what it means to be a client for life. This young man’s latest session was probably one of THE most fun we have had to date! I love watching him grow. I love that I can make him laugh… I love that he knows what to expect. I love to have fun! He knows that when we work as a team we move through our session quickly (which leaves more time for play :-)!) I cannot wait to continue watching him grow. I am taking it all in the same way his family is…. and know how precious each session is. AND NOW….
I want to say to the Holbert family. I LOVE you all and am proud to be your photographer. Carter keep being you. Don’t let anyone change you… WITH THE MOST LOVE EVER enjoy your 4 year portraits!
